The Years Flow Like Water

September 24th, 2007 | Category: broadcast, direction, motion

a short film by Kevin Choi

all tracking, compositing, and 3D modelling/animation/lighting for scenery out window.
Basically masked out the window panes and replaced the original scenery with a view of chinatown and a cherry tree. The tree was meant to be slightly rustling in the wind and rapidly going through the change of seasons with all of its leaves falling off in a matter of 25 sec. or so

this shot was a representation of the same tree during spring for an earlier shot in the film

Float

September 22nd, 2007 | Category: art, direction, motion

needs a few sec. to load

Float is an animation I made for an installation environment at Artist Network and for public projection. This is about a 3 min. section of the entire 6 min. loop. The rest of the installation included overlapping painting and floats made garbage bags (found acquired plastics) inflated by continually running fans. Float was also projected on b’way and canal for the show opening. theartistnetwork.org
